Our Mission
At Jesus Power Christian Ministries, the Prisons Ministry is a beacon of hope and transformation. We are dedicated to sharing the gospel of good news with those behind bars, offering love, hope, and encouragement not only to prisoners but also to their families.
Purpose
Our purpose is threefold:
- Positive Reinforcement: We aim to help prisoners function more positively within the prison environment.
- Reintegration Support: We prepare inmates for re-entry into society and their families after release.
- New Beginnings: We assure them that it’s possible to start anew and fulfill their destiny, inspired by Apostle Paul who wrote Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, Philemon, and 2 Timothy while in prison.
Core Values
- Love: We carry the heart of Jesus into prisons, practicing the true religion as taught in James 1:27, Matthew 25:36 & 40, and Hebrews 13:3.
- Forgiveness: We encourage inmates to forgive themselves and move forward with hope.
- Skill Development: We motivate them to learn new skills for a productive life post-release.
Activities
Our ministry is active and hands-on, involving:
- Visitation: We visit prisons to connect with inmates personally.
- Prayer: We pray for the spiritual and emotional well-being of prisoners.
- Word of God: We share biblical teachings to uplift and guide.
- Counseling: We offer counseling sessions for personal growth and healing.
- Support: We provide material and financial support to ease their burdens.
